Day 223

Reflections
Tonight is New Years Eve and for me it is a time to reflect on what I have accomplished in 2007

1. I lost 15 lbs this year and lowered my Cholesterol by 40 points by dieting, eating right and exercising.

2. I committed to learning golf this year. I practiced, practiced, practiced. I love the game of golf and I have seen huge improvements in my golf game since i started in May. I AM a GOLFER.

3. May 23rd I committed to taking a photo a day and posting it in an on-line blog. Through this project I have learned to push myself to go beyond my comfort zone and try new techniques. I am becoming more comfortable with my camera and what I can do with my camera. I have met some terrific supportive people who are now my friends while on this photographic journey. I am in love with the art of photography and the person that i am becoming through this creative expression. I AM a PHOTOGRAPHER.

4. I devoted more time to playing my piano this year and it has provided me with so much joy. I love music. I AM a PIANIST.

I am proud of these accomplishments and happy that i have devoted 2007 to doing things to improve my physical and mental health and wellbeing..

Thanks to my family and friends who have supported me throughout this year.

Took a 4 mile walk today with my friend Kim,
along the Air Line Rail Trail in Hebron Connecticut.
The Air Line Rail Trail is a scenic and peaceful 50 mile stretch across eastern Connecticut.

Are We Watching the Same Star?

I'm looking at this star tonight,
Wishing wishes would come true.
I wonder where I stand and look
If you see the same star too.

Does the darkness overwhelm you,
Where you stand and look tonight?
Do you see the star I’m watching?
Could we both stand in it's light?

Tonight although there's miles between us,

At lunch time i came across a 3 alarm fire on a triple decker in downtown Beverly MA. I spent my entire lunch hour taking photos and watching our brave firefighters from surrounding towns trying to control this raging fire. Thankfully there were no injuries, but unfortunately 5 families are now homeless.

I received a christmas present a few weeks ago from my best friend Kim who lives in Connecticut. She told me I could open it at any time. I was going to wait until Christmas..but for some reason, I chose to open it today. This book was inside. On Friday i was finishing up my Christmas shopping and i was drawn to this book. I didn't buy it , but i was seriously thinking of it. Well it is not so surprising that Kim had already purchased it for me. Since the day we had met almost 17 years ago, Kim and I have been true Soul Friends. This is not the first time that we each have know what the other needs just at the right time. Everyone should be blessed to have a friend like my friend Kim!!

Happy Holidays!! Thank you to all my friends and family who have been logging on every day or every week to view my 365 Photo Blog. Knowing that you all have been looking forward to my daily pictures has kept me motivated during this project when sometimes i am too tired to think about taking a daily Photo. I am glad that you are all out there to keep me going.

Fireplace at Moraine Farm Conference Center in Beverly MA. We held a Retirement Party/Reception for my boss here tonight. It was a warm and inviting old home for this wonderful and memorable event.

The next phase of the home improvement project is painting. I Painted the new baseboards and the kick plates around our new wood stairs. The railing on the left and the wall paint are new also.

Tonight was my last night working my 2nd job, at Appleseed's. I had been there for 2 1/2 years. Although i will miss the job and the wonderful friends that i have met there, it was time to move on and allow myself more free time to pursue other hobbies and interests.

It was a great ride!!!
